Who owns One More Song Entertainment?
One More Song has two founders, Eddy Mac and Aleks Mac (partners in life and business!). Eddy and Aleks are involved in every facet of the business, from initial enquiry through to DJ-ing weddings and events.
How does your pricing work?
Our DJ services are priced as packages (e.g. 5 hour package) while pricing for our other services (live musicians, party bands, special acts and audio visual) varies, depending on the specific entertainer and requirements. Click here to download our pricing guide.
Will I get to choose my entertainers?
Of course! We have relationships with some of Melbourne’s most talented function DJs and live musicians. Through our consultation with you, we will be able to recommend entertainers that will suit your event to a tee! If your chosen entertainer(s) is available on the date of your event, you can lock them in!
Besides the entertainers themselves at my event, what else does your service include?
Our service to our clients includes:
- Consultation including phone, face-to-face and video calls, depending on your preference
- Guidance with the entertainers and music for the event
- Standard sound/PA equipment including set up/pack down and a wireless microphone for speeches
- Liaison with your event planner, venue and other suppliers
- Introductions to other key suppliers, e.g. celebrants, florists and photographers (if required).
Are your services limited to Melbourne?
Absolutely not! We are based in Melbourne, however, we service clients across Australia!
What’s the booking process?
Once you’ve chosen your entertainer(s) for your event, we will send you a 50 percent part-payment invoice. During this time we will have your entertainer(s) on hold for your event date for a 14 day period. Once your invoice is paid, your entertainment will be locked in! Your balance is due 14 days prior to your event.
How far in advance should I book?
When it comes to your big day, entertainment should be on the planning list along with other big ticket items such as venue and photographer. Clients enquire between six and 18 months in advance. The most popular months for weddings in Melbourne are March and November, so for those dates, the earlier you enquire, the better!
Will you provide me with a playlist prior to my event?
A significant part of our service to our clients is to consult on the music side of things. We can make recommendations on the music for different parts of your event. Each event is unique, and while we can provide you with an example playlist upon request, we don’t recommend this as we don’t believe in a “cookie cutter” approach to events.
Do your DJs provide an MC service?
Our DJs do not provide an MC service as they are focussed on the music for your event. We are more than happy to recommend professional MCs for this part however. Our DJs will still work with your chosen MC on the night to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Do you provide lighting?
We provide wall splash/party lighting from $165 (incl. GST). Speak to us for more info!
Can my DJ edit or create a custom version of a key song for my event?
Our DJ service does not include music editing or production, however, we are able to refer clients to a local producer who may be able to assist in editing or creating custom versions of key songs.
What happens if the entertainer falls ill or has to cancel at the last minute?
We are blessed to enjoy relationships with a large number of entertainers in Melbourne and beyond. If your entertainer is unable to play at your event at the last minute, we will find a replacement for you. If the entertainer that we replace yours with comes at a lower rate than the one that was originally booked, we will refund the difference back to you.
What sound/PA equipment do you provide?
For all DJ bookings that require sound/PA, your DJ will provide the following minimum set up for one area:
- DJ decks/console
- 2 x 15 inch active speakers with speaker stands
- Wireless microphone for speeches
If your booking includes live musicians, microphones and accessories will also be provided for these entertainers.
In some cases (e.g. for over 150 guests or for big spaces), we recommend a larger PA set up, which we are happy to quote for you. Each venue may have different requirements for sound/PA which we will consult with you on.
How does One More Song differ to other entertainment agencies?
One More Song was established by Eddy Mac after his experience of working with other top Melbourne entertainment agencies, both as an entertainment manager and DJ. Eddy saw an opportunity to create a business that offers the same premium level of entertainment as leading agencies, however is competitively priced and focused on pre-event consultation and detailed briefings for entertainers.
